FASTFIRST

I am in places on the golf course I have never been before and it is because of your program!

Now that I am longer (230 yds to 300+ yds in 90 days!). I am having a bunch of wedge and 9 iron shots into greens. My scores are dropping and I know they will drop a lot faster once I learn the (your)short game program.   My goal is to play and compete in the big amateur tourneys and with your help I know I can.
Thanks,

C.M.

I wanted to share this with you.  On Tuesday of this week I played golf with all of the guys I work with, at The Ledges Golf Course in Maine.  My co-worker  challenged me to hit the ball from the men’s tee on the 8th hole (signature hole for the course).  He thought I could make the shot and he was right.  I landed the ball on the green and putted 66 feet for birdie.  My other co-worker, a die hard Yankees fan, said it was better than the Yankees winning the pennant!  To top it off, the other 15 co-workers who were at our  meeting gave a toast to me at dinner that night.  It was great!

Ben - Thank you for coaching me and providing me with the confidence to make that happen.  I always remember your words of wisdom and I am getting good!

I played today (after working on your program)...it was probable the best driving day I have had in a long time. They were not only longer than normal,  but they were straighter than normal. It was really quite a surprise to me. Seemed like the balls just JUMPED off the face with more rebound...This goes against everything one has ever been taught in golf instruction...good stuff, Ben.

WHY FASTFIRST

SORTING THROUGH THE MYTHS...

Golf is awash in tradition and mythology. Unfortunately, the myths are traditionally passed along as facts.

Can you distinguish between myths and facts?

  • You can't learn speed
  • Strength training increases speed
  • Added range of motion increases speed
  • Flexibility is speed
  • Improved swing technique increases speed
  • Balance work increases speed
  • Speed is effortless
  • Aerobic fitness improves speed
  • Aerobic fitness and anaerobic fitness are synonymous
  • Weight training is essential to speed
  • The big muscles are responsible for speed
  • Pause at the top of the swing for improved ball flight
  • Learn the skill slow first, then add speed
  • Swing easy, hit it hard
  • I'm short, but I'm straight
  • Distance isn't my problem
  • Ernie Els has a slow tempo
  • Hold the club as if it were a baby bird
  • Arms should feel like spaghetti
  •  ALL MYTHS!

TIME FOR A NEW PERSPECTIVE

Running a race is about getting from start to finish, point A to point B. Winning the race is getting there the fastest. In running, technique is fine, but is a distant second to running with speed.

If I were coaching hurdlers, of course I would want my athletes to learn effective form, but is form enough? Absolutely not! In sport speed's the greatest asset. I could coach my head off, but if my guys are not fast between hurdles and fast over them, all that fine technique isn't going to help.

I don't ever remember seeing a news photo featuring the last place hurdler...good technique or not.

A round of golf is a race of sorts, too. A winner must cover X number of yards (between 5000 and 7500) in the fewest strokes - the greater the yardage, the greater the challenge. If you use 70 strokes and I take 100, then you certainly "out ran" me. That is, you got to the "finish" in fewer steps.

How did you beat me? Was it with better swing technique? Comparatively speaking, was your hurdling "form" better than mine?

The culture of golf will definitely say that technique wins, but my work in this sport shows there's far more to it than form. You can grip the baseball exactly like Jonathan Paplebon,  but that doesn't mean you can throw it 97 mph.

I solve "swing problems" from a realistic perspective. It's different, it's simpler, and it's fact not myth.

FOR THOSE WHO CAN’T SEE US IN PERSON

Because demand has surpassed our expectations, we have expanded means to take advantage of our program for players who can’t make it to our learning center. This new approach is in addition to our highly successful E-Coaching program.

Here’s how it works: Email a video swing sequence and receive a quick Speed/Power/Timing analysis. It’s a great way to increase understanding and improve.

Learn exactly where in your swing you’re compromised, losing precious time and wasting potential force. Any potential energy never created or that is lost can never be applied to your golf ball.

Our plan is to share our work with every player who has realized that there is more to improvement than posture, grip, alignment and swing “tips”.

The cost is only $49.95. Please go to our on-line Training Shop for details and to learn more about E-Coaching, Video Swing Analysis and to purchase.
